I’ll admit, this is not your typical outfit post. Workout clothes don’t make for the most amazing outfits ever. But, they’re pretty awesome when you’re posing with your vintage bike in front of a beautiful river. So I think that’s enough to qualify this as “fancy” (making it outfit #2 for my Summer 13 goals. I posted Outfit #1 earlier this week. Two outfits in one week!).
My husband had to work last Saturday, so I had the day to myself. So with the whole day free and no commitments, I decided to engage in one of my favorite solo activities: garage sale shopping via bike. Armed with a cash and my bike panniers, I set out to see what I could find. At first, there didn’t seem to be many garage sales in the neighborhood, but I eventually found my way to about six or seven garage sales. Some had awesome stuff; some had nothing good at all. I ended up with several great finds, shown below.
I’m totally ready for our upcoming beach honeymoon now: overnight bag, swimsuit coverup, packable sun hat, cheap sandals that I can abandon on the beach without caring if they get stolen. The Pierre Cardin overnight bag was definitely the best find – it was a mere $2. That same bag is on Etsy right now for $54.
To cap off my garage sale trip, I visited one of my favorite parks on the Hillsborough River, which has docks for fishing. I used the docks for a fun photo shoot instead. All in all it was a beautiful, wonderful, relaxing day.
