New angle on one of my favorite trees

For ages, I’ve wanted a long turquoise pendant necklace.  I looked all over Etsy but could never find the perfect one.  I found cheap knock-offs at the mall, but never the real thing.  Any turquoise pendants I did find ended up being way out of my budget.  Finally, while browsing at one of my favorite local vintage shops a few weeks ago, I spotted one.  I wasn’t crazy about the chain/silk rope that it was on, but the pendant was perfect.  And for a mere $25, it was mine.  I brought it home and put it on a longer chain I already had and voila! :  my new favorite necklace.

I seriously love this necklace

You’re going to start seeing some new content here on Smiles Go With Everything soon.  Since I got a new little camera that I don’t mind carting around with me, I’ve started taking pictures on my walks.  For some of these pictures, I use my camera’s macro setting to take super close ups.  So, I’m going to start some new series called “Macro Mondays” and “Walk with me”.  In these posts (which might not be every week, but hey, that’s just how it is) I’ll share photos from my walks and adventures.  I still plan on posting outfits and bentos too, and I might start writing more about food.

I like this olive, red and white color combo

I’ve also been doing a little housekeeping.  I created a new, slimmer header that focuses more on how my blog is evolving.  I tried to keep it a little more simple and showcase my main focuses: style, food and life.  Which I realize is really broad.  I’ve also cleaned up and updated my blogroll, and created a page with more information on the Paleo/Primal lifestyle, since I talk about that a lot.  Hope you enjoy the new changes!

What’s your perfect piece?  Where did you find it?
