*11 in 2011 is my New Year’s resolution project.  I have eleven attainable goals that I aim to meet by the end of 2011.  This post is a discussion of one of them*

I think that #4 is quickly becoming my favorite goal in my 11 in 2011.  This recipe isn’t completely new – I’ve done plenty of stir frys before – but I never tried stir frying with broccoli, so I thought it would be fun to try.  The recipe can be found here.

It’s a pretty simple recipe.  You start by prepping and marinating the chicken.  It only has to marinate for fifteen minutes, which make it a great choice for last minute weeknight dinners.

You prep a whole lot of broccoli – and you use the stalk too.  This adds more fiber and texture.

You stir fry the broccoli first, then set it aside and stir fry the chicken.  You then mix everything back together and make the sauce too.

I toasted some sesame seeds for a garnish, and I think it makes the presentation nicer.  It adds some more texture too.

Serve with white rice and voila!  Tasty Chinese inspired dinner!  It only took about 30 minutes start to finish, and I was pleased with the final results.  The taste reminded me a bit of the Chicken Garlic Stir Fry from The Joy of Cooking, but a lot of the ingredients were similar, so that makes sense.
