Beautiful background. Love the boots! I've never had any luck with wrap skirts like that. They've always looked too boxy and wide and shapeless on me.

You win some, you lose some. Luckily, smiles really do go with everything. Including crappy skirts :)

I have a similar shaped skirt that also languishes in my closet because I never know what to pair it with to make it flattering. If you find a solution please post it as mine is also heading for the consignment pile!!

I second Kelly - I think a longer blouse or shirt worn over the skirt and belted would look fab!

I think I agree with everyone that this skirt isn't working. I'm realizing now that there's a reason why it's been languishing in my closet - it just doesn't work for me. To the consigning pile it goes!

I would try untucking the blouse and belting it at your waist maybe? If you can't find a way to wear it that you like, I say donate it! I can see why you're unsure of it, and there's no sense in wasting time in clothes you don't feel fab in.

I love the LOFT top and it looks great with the green. I agree about the skirt ... I think it's the look of it pulling that's the problem. Especially sits it sits right there at the front. Could you maybe wear it backwards or put that part more towards the side? Not sure either of those would like right either though. Sorry! It's a bummer when a piece we like just doesn't work out so well.

Love the outfit! I agree with the others, though, that the skirt itself is the problem - not necessarily the way that it's worn. I think the illusion of width is created by the slight pulling there at the join, and that the front part of the wrap pulls at a diagonal instead of straight down.

On a happier note, I LOVE the pearls/cardi/patterned blouse combo! :-)
