I currently work two part time jobs, and one of them is filling in as a substitute media specialist (school librarian). Being a substitute, means that you have to make frequent first impressions. This is what I wore for one of those days last week. I was originally going to wear plain black shoes, but those goldenrod Malibrans really make the outfit pop. I really wish I lived in a city that had a Fluevog store.
Lately, I’ve noticed that shoes really are key players in my outfits. I’m beginning to loathe anything plain and ordinary and black. I like my shoes to be fun, unique, colorful. It’s so funny, because a few years ago, all my shoes were brown, and I never bought any other color because I was afraid they wouldn’t match anything.

Girl, you ROCK–I am in love with those shoes!! and I love the brown!!
The shoes definitely add so much to the outfit! Loving that shirt layered under the dress too. The details work so well!
Love the first picture!
I also like the outfit, I think youre figuring out what your unique style is and colorful(and wonderful )shoes are part of it.
Look at that tiny waist! I love me a cinched dress!
You look so cute!
Love all of the colors going on here– especially the shoes, of course
Ohh this makes you look really slim and gives your waist definition.
I have the same tights.
Love the shoes
LOVE the colors and thsoe shoes are awesome!
The Fluevogs really bring the outfit to a whole new level! I’m kind of the same way about shoes, I really need to buy a few black pairs because they’re vastly outnumbered in my wardrobe by colorful shoes.
I LOVE that we own tons of the same pieces! I totally have this Anthro shirt in navy! You look great, and the yellow shoes really are a fun first impression!
I’ve been following your blog for a while and I must say, this might be my favourite outfit of yours. I really admire how well you mix colours. I love how you are layering that teal top under your dress.
I think this looks reeeeeally great on you! I love A-line styles. And those shoes are too gorgeous.
I’m in a way glad I don’t live in a city with a Fluevog store — I’d be bankrupt if I did!
I love those Malibrans, and you’ve made them work beautifully with your snuggly winter layers and tights.
Love those shoes! They really make the outfit! The color goes so well with the teal and neutrals. Fun detailing on the shirt too!
