I recently received a request from the awesome Katrina of Pugly Feet to do a post on different ways to wear a scarf. Way back in January, I did two posts on layering necklaces and scarves, which focused on long, winter-ish scarves. I’m planning on a new tutorial for tying scarves in more traditional ways soon, but for now I thought I’d put together some ways to wear scarves when it’s not quite fall.
(Click the photos to see the Flickr page, if you want outfit details)

Tie one on the handle of your purse
Wear as a headband
Tie around your waist as a belt/sash

Go for the classic neck scarf

i have big love for the scarf around the waist look! it’s one of my faves!
Hi – love your pictures! You wear scarves well
I just wanted to share some videos on how to exactly tie the scarves you are wearing. We have some new videos on our site that shows how to fold and tie silk scarves (and other fabrics too.) Enjoy! -Jenhttp://www.echodesign.com/about/howtotie.aspx
People must have scarves on the brain with fall coming up … I’ve gotten lots of requests for similar tutorials. Such great looks, here, and with such different styles of scarves.
You look cute and ready for autumn.
I know t’s not related to the post but that haircut with the headband is growing on me.
I love scarves but usually wear more of the long winter ones. I’m thinking of investing in more scarves this year (and hats) because it’s a good way to make new looks without that much cost.
