This outfit came from an inspiration and a practicality. I’m using Kimberly’s June Inspiration calendar to try to be more creative with my wardrobe this month, and today’s theme was Nautical. On the practical side, I also needed an outfit that could deal with the heat, because I rode my bike to the grocery store today. I think these two came together nicely.

The pearls and the striped tank are the main nautically inspired features. Also, I could picture wearing this outfit while sailing, even though I’ve never done it before. I was a bit worried that I would be too warm with a cardigan, but this one is really finely knit cotton, so it worked just fine.

Oh, and I’m really loving my new haircut. Any one who lives near Tampa should absolutely go to Tribeca Salon. I’ve been going there for about a year now, and every haircut has become my new favorite.

Love how the pearls add just a little bit of dressiness.

I just recently paired a chocolate brown cardi with a blue and white dress and am now in love with that color combo. You look cool, fresh and well pulled together–good job!
I love your bag! I think that cardigan makes everything so refreshing.
Tres cute striped top! I love striped tops and wish I could carry them off (too top-heavy).
